A people person. Excited for change.
BA/LLB Auckland University
Kate has almost twenty years’ experience, both in private practice and in senior in-house roles. She spent eleven years at major law firms in New Zealand and Europe before moving in-house, including five years at magic circle London firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. She has broad experience covering financial services, corporate and commercial law and over the last eight years has worked as a senior in-house lawyer across a range of regulated industries.
Kate enjoys the broader role modern lawyers play – going beyond technical legal expertise to act as business, strategic and operational advisors. Most of all she loves solutions and working with people to find them.
Kate is honoured to be involved in Shift, which she believes is an exciting and long-overdue alternative to the traditional advisor model.
Kate has three children under 10. She loves the mountains and farmers’ markets.
